A New Post.

Oh, hai. =)

Had to do that...I love that website. =D Makes me laugh every time.

Well, obviously my consistency in blogging kind of fell apart. Oh well. There are worse things in life I s'pose.

Classes here at MBC are starting to wind down a bit since we are finishing up the semester. Most of the work is done now, and the only big thing that's left is finals...ugh. I am not looking forward to that *sigh*...tests tend to stress me a little. Otherwise, just finishing up homework.

Last Wednesday I flew over to Portland, Oregon to spend Thanksgiving with my Grandma and Grandpa which was SO nice. I am really thankful that I was able to spend the holiday with them, especially since I wasn't able to go home. It was quick, but it was really nice to see them! I am sooooo excited for Christmas break!!! WOOHOO!!! About 2 and a half weeks and I will be home again...yay!

Right now there is about 1 and 1/2 feet of snow on the ground...there was more, but some of it melted, and it is so light that it just kind of blows away sometimes...it's a lot different than the wet Petersburg snow! I can hardly believe how cold it can get here...apparently it isn't unusual for it to get down to -20, -30 in January and February. Brrr!! And it's so dry...my poor hands can't take much more of it! My knuckles are cracked. =( Just what you wanted to know. =)

I need to go Christmas shopping soon...I am actually surprised because this year I have pretty much all the gifts that I am going to buy planned out...usually it is a little more disorganized. I am so excited for Christmas!! I love it. =) We have some Christmas lights up in our dorm room, and we even have a tiny tree on one of our side tables with some presents next to it...pretty cute!

Well, I think that's about all I have for now. I am really tired today...and I still miss coffee. =(

Bai! Heehee.

*Can't Think of a Clever Title*

Here I am yet again to blog...strange that I have been more consistent in blogging since I have been here. Hm...

Well, in about an hour I am going to go on a Costco excursion. Just what you wanted to hear about right? =) I need (yes, need) to buy some decaf coffee, since I am fasting from caffeine for a time...oh, the sadness! Then I need to buy some MEAT, and possibly some other things... I dislike grocery shopping because I always leave feeling somewhat guilty...groceries aren't cheap! I have a great appreciation for Western Family and other cheaper products now...who cares about name brand! Well, there are some things that you simply don't buy from Western Family...like macaroni and cheese...eww!

Apparently winter is over for a time...for three days now it has been in the mid sixties, and there is hardly any snow left. Quite amazing. I am glad that we get to have a little more nice weather before winter fully sets in.

Last night I experienced star gazing for the first time...it was SO cool! I mean, I have looked at and admired the stars before, but I haven't stood outside under a starry sky for for a long period of time, for the purpose of watching stars.=) It was beautiful...they sky was so clear that I could see the milk way, and I saw FOUR shooting stars!! It was fun...I went with a couple of other people that go Grace Bible Church. Oh, another thing that I noticed was all of the satellites that are floating around up there...mildy creepy...we are being watched! =)

This week in school I have a midterm exam for my Genesis class, and then I have an eight page rough draft due for my Survey of Doctrine class, PLUS all of my weekly homework. Yikes! I think I'll be okay though...I have over half of my doctrine paper done, and the midterm shouldn't be too bad...I hope.=)

Well, I guess that is about all that I have for now...G'bye!

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Well hi,

Today we don't have any classes because it is prayer day, so I though that I would blog.=) Prayer time started at about nine, and we went off into different groups and took prayer requests, prayed for different nations, prayed for the school, and just prayed! =) We also had a worship time which was pretty cool.

Well, I got my wish...we had one day that was crisp and chilly, yet sunny, and then the next day..BAM! It started snowing. I was so excited. I woke up to get ready for school, and it was still dark out and there was rain drumming on the roof, and almost as soon as I got into the school, it started to snow! Although quite a bit came down, it didn't really stick...but a few days later (yesterday) we got a whole bunch...about five inches worth! Today the sun is out and it is quite a bit warmer so it is melting off...so perhaps now we will have fall.=)

This weekend Mr. and Mrs. O (good friends of mine who were my youth group leaders) are coming down to Montana from Petersburg for a visit, and I am really looking forward to seeing them! It will be kinda like a taste of home.=)

On Thursday us gals at Montana Bible College are having a girls night and girls from MSU are also invited, so it should be a really good night...we are going to have prayer and worship time and then some games, too. I am looking forward to it! Hopefully it will become a regular thing.

I think that I need to go for a walk today...get some fresh air! Woo hoo! I've been inside way too much lately and it is starting to bother me.

Tomorrow I am going to the MSU library to get some more books for the papers that I have to write...that library is HUMONGOUS!! I haven't actually been in there, but I have seen the building...hopefully they will have what I need.=)

This last weekend I went shopping with a couple of gals from the dorms...we went to Sacks, which is a local thrift store (got some really nice things actually) and then we went to Old Navy as well which was fun. I like to go shopping every once in a while...I was also in need of some warm shirts. It is SO cold in our classrooms! I also received some sweatshirts from home which was fun! It's like Christmas when I get packages in the mail...very exciting! =)

Let's see...here's some good quotes for your enjoyment:

1)He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.

Jim Elliot

2)The safest place to be is within the will of God

Anonymous

3)I cannot imagine how the clockwork of the universe can exist without a clockmaker.
Voltaire

4). Our peace and confidence are to be found not in our empirical holiness, not in our progress toward perfection, but in the alien righteousness of Jesus Christ that covers our sinfulness and alone makes us acceptable before a holy God.
Donald Bloesch

Bye for now!

My weekend thus far

Well, it's another sunny day here in Montana. I like sunshine and all, but I have to say that I REALLY miss the Petersburg rain! It's pretty chilly in the mornings and nights though, so fall and winter are definitely on the way...or maybe it already is fall ???? I love fall...

Let's see... so far my weekend hasn't been terribly exciting, although I did make some applesauce oatmeal cookies the other day. They were more on the healthy side as far as cookies go, but they were still pretty good. I might make some more today because I still have some applesauce that needs to be used... or maybe I should work on homework instead. =D There is a lot of homework to do here, but it's not so bad as long as you stay on top of it...it's the writing assignments that might kill me. I really like to write, but I have to write three papers (not counting several book critiques), and it is going to be kind of challenging because I have to use a certain amount of resources for each one, and only 3 of them can be an internet source...rats.=) One of my papers is for my Survey of Doctrine class and I picked the topic of spiritual warfare...it has to be 10-15 pages long, but at least we get to double space. Yay! Then I am going to write a paper on the Auca Indians for my Missions class, and then my other paper has to be on a topic of interest in the Old Testament...still haven't figured out what I am going to write for that one.=)

Last night I watched an interesting movie...well, actually, I didn't watch the whole thing...but anyway, it's called "The Sin Eater". Yeah, I know, it sounds really weird and freakish, but it was actually really good...I would recommend it! The acting is slightly cheesy in a few spots, but its a good movie...good story and plot, and it explains the gospel really clearly in the end.

Alrighty...I need to find some breakfast...bye for now!

'nother blog

G'day. I thought that I would take this opportunity to blog...my brain is a wee bit fried after writing up my doctrine statement on Revelation and Scripture for one of my classes. It helps that the teacher gave us a sample statement to look at, and that we are able to plagiarize a bit.=) He's the one that typed them up, so it's legal and everything...no worries.=) I think I have it finished...it was kind of a fun thing to do actually and it is good to check up on what you believe.

There's been a nip in the air the past couple of days...it feels kind of nice. I am looking forward to fall although, I think it is supposed to get back up to the eighties in a couple of days. I've been trying to send some sun up to Alaska (it's been pouring down rain up there) but so far it hasn't worked. Sorry guys! Maybe I need to try harder...=)

I think I need to go for a walk or something tonight...I've been cooped up all day with school and homework...aaahhhhh! Plus, I have been drinking a Rockstar which has energized me a bit...I was SO tired this morning...I was practically sleep walking to class this morning.

Well, this was a short one, but I should probably work on some more homework...bye for now!

Yes, I'm Still Alive

Well hello! I just want you to know that you are a kind and special person for reading my blog even though I haven't been on here in so long. Bless you.=)

*Clears throat* well, I'm in Bozeman, MT now, attending Montana Bible College. Although this is a great place, I am having a hard time... I miss home!!!!!!!! I have learned a lot in the time that I have been here though, and I have met some really neat people. I am sharing a dorm room (it's actually more like a small apartment) with three other girls, which is going pretty well so far...no cat fights yet.=) The classes that I am taking are really good, too...my favorites are Survey of Doctrine, Bible Study Techniques, and Genesis...I'm taking lots of notes!

Right now I am wrapped in a blanket sitting on Alisa's couch (she lives downstairs)...I feel like I could fall asleep...quite cozy.=) Plus I didn't fall asleep until about 1:30 this morning. Argh. Apparently I was wound up after watching "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". I'm a sucker for classics. I also watched part of "Clue" the other night...it's an older movie based on the board game "Clue" (imagine that). Anyhow, it was quite peculiar.

Yesterday night we had a pretty incredible lightning show. It was really cool. I was on a walk with one of the gals from the dorm and the sky was all black and purple-ish and then lightning would flash and light up the sky. And then, the most exciting part... it RAINED!!!!! Practically unheard of around here. It was absolutely delightful... I fell asleep listening to it drum on the roof.

Well, I believe that is all that I have to share for now... good bye for now!

Fresca

Hi.  I come to my blog bearing sad news.  Remember how I said in my last entry that Fresca (my brother's white kitten) was sick?  Well, she ended up being more sick than we had thought.  A week ago today little Lu passed on.  We knew that there was something wrong with her, but we didn't expect her to die so suddenly.  She started having seizures last Saturday night at about five o'clock and after eight seizures, we had to put the little darling down.  It was indescribably sad.  She was such a sweet little thing...only ten months old.  Poor Casey is heart broken...he loved her so much.  A few days before she died he made her a house out of a cardboard box, complete with a bubble wrap floor.  The house just isn't the same without little "Fresca-lu".  She stayed long enough for us to fall in love with her, and although she broke our hearts, I am glad that we got to know her.

Consistently Inconsistent

Here I am again.  Yes, I am still alive...nothing tragic has happened;  my family is still alive and all of my fingers still work.  I have just been a bum, or a "Turbo Slug" as some would say and haven't blogged.=)

I have a few things to share:

(1)  I am done with high school!  Hurray!  It is nice to finally be done... I am mainly pleased that I will never have to do another math paper again...well, unless I have to take it in college.  School wasn't all bad though...yes, at times it did seem like torture *cough, algebra, cough*, but otherwise, good memories.

(2) I am now the owner of a new Mac laptop, a generous gift from Bakka and Bumpa *clears throat* um, that is my grandma and grandpa... it isn't my fault that I had a hard time pronouncing "grandma" and "grandpa" at a year old!!=)  Anyhow, I am very thankful.  Now I can keep in touch with the fam if/when I leave for college.

(3)  In addition to a laptop, I will also be getting my ver first cellphone, which will also be great!  That way when I get homesick, I can call home and hear lovely, familiar voices.=)

(4)  Today I "took a haircut" as my little brother used to say.  It feels a lot better...my hair was getting pretty long and heavy.  It's different that how it used to be, but I think I like it.

Oh, Bonanza is on, you know, that old western show?  I kinda like it...it's a little corny, but hey.  I can't tell what is going on...they are talking about hanging somebody for murder or somethin' like that.  Good stuff.=)

Poor little Fresca-lu is having a bad day...she looks sick and hasn't really moved all day.  Poor little baby.=(

That's all I've got for now...bye!

Day four of resting and fighting the flu. My little white blood cells are working hard and apparently doing their job since I am feeling better...yay! Hopefully by tomorrow I will be aaalll better. I was SO tired last night...I went to bed at 7:30 and by eight I was OUT. Next thing I knew, it was eleven a.m....that's a lot of sleep but it sure felt good.

Right now I am watching Jurassic Park: The Lost World. Slightly cheesy if you want my opinion, but all in all entertaining. It's funny how the main characters always miraculously manage to stay alive.

Tonight we are having quiche for dinner. It's pretty good...pie crust with eggs, ham, and cheese on the inside. Kind of a random bit of information...just thought I would share that with you.

Once again, nothing very exciting to report, so I'll be going now.

Saturday, April 18, 2009

Hm.

Bluck. I am still sick...three whole days of being a couch potato makes for a gloomy me. I am feeling a lot better though...hopefully by tomorrow I will be all better. And being the kind person that I am, I shared my bug with my sista...poor netsirK...sorry K! In addition, netsirK and I were unable to go to Sharece's birthday party...rats!

But not all is gloom and doom...the prodigal kitten (Fresca) returned yesterday evening! She just came waltzing down the driveway as if she had never left. Aside from being extremely hungry and tired, the little darling was just fine. Yay!

Last night the fam and I watched Marley and Me. I thought that it was pretty good, but the ending was SO SAD!! I bawled! Even netsirK cried, and she NEVER cries...that's pretty sad.

My dad and bro are out hooter hunting right now...in case you don't know what that is, it is hunting for a really dumb bird called a grouse, aka hooter. They taste REALLY good though...as long as you cook them long enough...otherwise they can be kinda tough. Hopefully they'll manage to find some.

I need to find a new favorite band...I was left with no choice to but to let the newsboys go. So sad. Yes, I am still upset over this. >:(

Well, I don't think I have anything else that I wish to share at this time so I shall depart now.

Fresca!!

Oh, Fresca where art thou? The poor little darling has been outside for TWO WHOLE DAYS and we have no idea where she is!!! My dad let her outside yesterday morning and normally she will play for a while and then come back, but now she is gone! She is my brother's kitty so he has been really gloomy...hopefully she will return soon. I keep thinking about eagles...=(

I hate being sick! I woke up this morning and felt like I had been hit by a train...all of my bones ached, I had a headache, and I was FREEZING!! I ended up taking a nap which kind of helped. After resting on the couch for about an hour I started to feel much better. It so frustrating when I have things that I need/ want to do, and then I am couch bound...argh! There is a lesson in all of this I am sure.=)

Well, this is kind of dinky, but I have nothing else to say as of now. Bye now!

Bla Bla Bla

It's so disheartening when nobody comments on my blog (hint, hint)...I go to all of the trouble of carefully typing out the events of my life, and no one sees it as being of any consequence. My feelings have been deeply wounded. Okay, it isn't that big of a deal, but is it really so hard to give a gal a comment??

This morning a very strange and unusual phenomenon occurred. I woke up at a quarter to seven and I felt awake. Normally, if I have to get up at a certain time, only the alarm clock can wake me up. But not today. Very strange. I did end up going back to sleep after about a half an hour (don't worry, I wasn't anywhere near being late for work)...anyway, just thought that I would share that.

Speaking of strange things, I have another little story. Today at work I was busy shuffling products around on the shelves and organizing them. To accomplish this, I needed a step stool for some of the harder to reach things. As I was standing on the stool, this dude came up to me and asked me if I wanted him to help me. I told him that I was managing just fine but thank you anyway. I thought that that would be the end of it but instead he just stood there and said "Are you sure?" to which I replied "Yes, I am sure." He then nodded and started to walk off but then said "Let me know if you change your mind." Uh, excuse me, but what part of "No" do you not understand buckwheat? 0.O

Oh, I just looked up and it is quite nice outside. Hm. Perhaps spring is here! Maybe I should go for a quick evening stroll on the beach...

Okay, I don't know what to writeabout so I am going to ask Kristen to give me a random word to blog about...ptarmigan? Alright. Ptarmigan is bird a little smaller than a chicken that just happens to be Alaska's state bird...the Willow Ptarmigan to be precise. It is brown in color in the summer months, but as winter approaches, its plumage gradually changes to a nice white color to blend in with the snow. If it doesn't snow, then tough luck for da birdie. =) They are quite cute...especially because they look like they are wearing feathered pants and they also taste excellent. How was that for a Animal Planet type presentation? Well, maybe the last part not so much.

With that little section on a bird added to this blog, I feel contented to post it now. Muchas Gracias for reading.

Skating, Soreness, Birthdays, Snow, and Blondes.

'Ello,

Right now I am watching figure skating while I am blogging. Pretty skilled huh? Not skilled enough to figure skate though...it amazes me that people can do all of those spins and twists and only rarely fall onto their buns.

Man, I'm sore today from wallyball! Lots of fun though.=)

Tomorrow netsirK and I are going to Steph's b-day lunch...happy birthday to her! (Or to you Steph if you are reading this XD )

Let's see...what else is new...oh, the snow is falling harder than ever tonight. Well, I guess I should try to enjoy it...it is so hard though because I am really ready for spring. Or we can just jump directly into summer.=) Global warming is such a joke. =)

Speaking of jokes, I thought that I would put up these next blonde jokes. But first, I must say something to those of you who may be blonde (whether it be natural or out of a bottle). I have nothing against blondes, especially because I myself have occasional blonde moments. Just thought that these were kind of funny. I got it off of coolblondejokes.com.

Title: She Was So Blonde

She was so blonde...

She got stabbed in a shoot-out.

She put lipstick on her forehead because she wanted to make up her mind.

She told me to meet her at the corner of 'walk' and 'don't walk'.

She tried to put M&Ms in alphabetical order.

She tried to drown a fish.

She thought a quarterback was a refund.

She got locked in a grocery store and starved to death.

If you gave her a penny for intelligence, you'd get change back.

They had to burn the school down to get her out of third grade.

Under 'education' on her job application, she put 'Hooked On Phonics.'

She tripped over a cordless phone.

She took a ruler to bed to see how long she slept.

At the bottom of the application where it says 'sign here', she put 'Sagittarius.'

She asked for a price docket at the Dollar Store.

If she spoke her mind, she'd probably be speechless.

She studied for a blood test... and failed.

She thought Boyz II Men was a daycare center.

She thought Meow Mix was a record for cats.

She thought she needed a ticket to get on Soul Train.

She sold the car for gas money.

And there you have it. I hope that no one is offended. =) Good night!

I'm Back! (with a vengeance)

Well, obviously my resolution to be more consistent in my blogging hasn't gone so well thus far. I really haven't been on my computer very often lately...between working, housesitting, schooling, eating, and sleeping, there isn't a whole lot of time to spare for a good blog!

Over spring break I housesat for a friend the family. I was there for four days and everything went smoothly...the house neither froze up nor burned down. Her cat (Sammi) and I were able to spend some quality bonding time together. Although Sammi is really cute and cuddly for the most part, she can be slightly evil. One night she fiercely attacked my ankle for no apparent reason...oh well, that's a cat for ya. Also, in the mornings when I was making my way down the stairs, she would rub on my foot with each step I took. It was kind of cute at first, but then after I nearly fell down the stairs to avoid stepping on her, it wasn't so cute. Anyhow, it was kinda fun, but it was nice to get back home to my own kitty (and my family of course=)

I can't believe that I am almost done with highshool...how weird is that? When I was younger I couldn't wait to be all done with school, but now that I am thinking "whoa, wait a second!" I am still excited tho. At least I have my future totally organized (not!)=)

Oh, I must note that today my nephew is turning 1!!! Happy birthday Milo! What a guy. For those of you who don't know who Milo is (shame on you!), he is my sister netsirK's leopard gecko. May I recommend that you become a fan? While I have to admit that I prefer pets with fur, Milo is pretty darn cute.

I cannot believe the weather that we are having right now...no, I take that back, I can believe it. One day I think that spring has finally arrived, the next day, it is snowing again. At least I heard a mountain robin the other morning...that's a step in the right direction.

In a few hours I will be heading to the home of the O's for the evening...always a good time.=) We are going to play wallyball which will be fun...I haven't played in forever tho so I feel sorry for the people that are going to be on my team.=I The Popps (the other couple who help out in our youth group) are going to be there, and I am looking forward to seeing how Mr. Popp plays...if you know him then you will know exactly what I mean. He is a pretty hyper person.

Oh, I almost forgot!! I was going to give my two cents about Pete leaving the newsboys! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! What is going on in this world?? I have so many questions!! To name a few:

1) The newsboys knew that this was going to happen way ahead of time, so why didn't they tell the fans before Tait appears on stage, to the shock and dare I say horror, of the fans in the crowd?

2) Why all of the secrecy? Why aren't they telling us what is going on?

3) WHY ON EARTH IS MICHAEL TAIT THE NEW LEAD SINGER??????

It is all so shocking. In my mind, the newsboys are no more. It would have been different if, say, Jody stepped up to the microphone, but Tait? I know that he and the boys are friends and all, but he really has nothing to do with them. Don't get me wrong, I am still fans of the boys (Duncan, Jody, Jeff, Peter, etc..,) but Tait, no. To me, they are no longer the newsboys...Peter was the rock of that band, and with him gone, the newsboys are gone too.

Bah. On that note, I need to get going. Thank you for reading me blog and I shall try to get back on here soon. Toodles!

Friday, March 6, 2009

Oops...it's been a while since I have blogged...not intentionally mind you.=)

I think I am fighting a bug because the last few days in school have been PAINFUL! I feel like I can't think which is extremely frustrating...especially with Algebra 2. NOT FUN. Either that or my brain is overloaded from the combo of school and learning all of the new things at me job. To quote Skittles, "I can't brain today." XD

Random bit of info...I watched the music video for "In the Valley of the Dying Sun" by House of Heroes and it was so sad!!! I almost cried. If you just listen to the song without watching the video, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but after watching it, it was fully explained. netsirK wasn't impressed with my show of emotion...at least I HAVE a heart. We (my sis and I) and our frousins watched "Titanic" and while Steph and I were crying our eyes out, netsirK and Sharece were laughing because Steph and I were sobbing...what is this world coming to?????

Right now I am watching nesirK blog...she is on the couch across from the chair that I am sitting on...she makes some interesting faces...most of them are smug. She smiles with satisfaction as she looks at what she has written thus far. Cocks her head to...get a better view?? Her fingers fly over the keys...backspacing every now and again. She has stopped. Now she is contemplating what to write, OH! There she goes again. Can you tell that I don't know what to write about? =)

*Sigh*...I was going to put a random quote on here, just for kicks, but the stinkin' internet is b-e-i-n-g v-e-r-y s-l-o-w. So disappointing.

In the future I shall try to be more conistent in my blogging.=) Bye y'all!

Firewood, Job, and Dinner

We (Kristen, Casey, Dad and I) just finished unloading and stacking a very large, actually, massive, pile of firewood. It was cursed firewood too...the more we put away, the more the pile grew! It was freaky. Okay, it didn't really grow, but it sure seemed like it. Another thing is that we got stuck in a time warp! After unloading for what seemed like at least an hour, only fifteen minutes had passed. It was truly amazing. While I am glad to help Dad out and I while I sorta don't mind it, after a while, it gets kind of monotonous. Get the wood from Casey, pass it to Kristen, get the wood from Casey, pass it to Kristen, and on and on it goes. To make it a little more lively, we all placed bets on how long it would take us. Kristen guessed forty-five minutes, Casey guess an hour, Dad bet an hour and twelve minutes, and I bet an hour and eleven minutes, just to be a pain. XD Anyhow, dad won...I don't know what he won, but he won.

My job at the Drug store is going well...I have worked two days there *cheers*! Tomorrow, I have to be there at 7:30 which translates into me having to get up at SIX A.M.!!! Wow. I must be strong! Oohh *big grin* I nearly forgot about coffee. hehe. MUAHAHAHA!!! With caffeine, I shall conquer the early morning hours. My hat's off to all y'all that get up at that time on a regular basis.

I mad a tragic realization today! WE FORGOT ALLIE'S BIRTHDAY!!! Poor puppy!! What kind of a family are we?!? Oh my. Well, I told her happy birthday, and although she looked hurt, she is a forgiving pooch. She is now three years old! It seems like just yesterday that she was a tiny puppy. So cute!

Well, I need to figure out what I am having for dinner...it is scavenger night here. Find what you can; it's every man for himself. Bye now.

The Car INCIDENT

Okay, something major happened...I almost got in my first car accident yesterday! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! You know how I was being all mischievous about taking the suburban for a spin yesterday??? Well, I was driving along with Kristen and Casey, and as we were driving we came upon a hill. A hill where you have to stop at the bottom. So, since it was icy and being the good little driver that I am, I began to brake lightly well in advance of reaching the bottom. Ahead of us was a little dinker car, and as we were going down the hill, I became alarmed at our rate of descent. We got, closer, and closer to the car ahead of us, so I started to push hard on the brake. To my horror, a terrible sound came from the brakes and we hardly slowed down at all. It all seemed to happen in slow motion. I was pushing on the brake with all of my might, and although we were only going at a slow crawl, we were getting very near to the back of the other car. At that point I knew that we were going to hit. I am sure that all of our eyes were as round as King Arthur's table. To my astonishment, we stopped, mere centimeters from the back of the car, *hallelujah chorus*. Oh my goodness I was relieved! There was some girls sitting in the back of the little car, and they both glanced back at us just as we were about to stop. One continued to stare while the other looked away for a second but then did a double take, her eyes huge. They continued to stare/glare at us until they drove away. Can't say that I blame them. It wouldn't be a good feeling seeing an enormous suburban large enough to run your little car over right on your tail.

My poor lovely (aka, my cat Noca)! She has green goobies coming out of her right eye and it is seeping badly. Poor baby! We figure she got scratched by one of her fellow kitties *cough, Mocha, cough* and it got infected. Hopefully she will survive this ordeal. She's too young to go!

Oh, in case you would like to know, my brother Casey and his friend found an eagle skull on the beach in front of our house today. Just a little F.Y.I. This information could come in handy someday, just like algebra will.

Okey dokey...I don't believe that I have anything else to say at this point in time. BYE. that is a weird word...bye...bye, bye, bye, bye, bye....now it seems really strange. Okay, I really am going now.

MORE SUNSHINE

Hello one and all (all two of you)=)

It is another BEAUTIFUL day here in Petersburg...so nice! I heard that it is supposed to snow this weekend though, so we'd better enjoy it while it lasts. *Sigh*, just when you think it might be spring, BAM! another few feet of snow.

We are going to be running (yes, running) into town pretty soon...Kristen and Casey have to get tetnus shots. I am going to stand in the corner and laugh at their pain...hehe. I really actually do feel bad for them...tetnus shots usually make your arm sore. Better than lock-jaw I suppose. After they have been thoroughly tortured, mom is going to get a hairdo so we kids get the 'burban...*grins mischievously*.

I was informed last night that my blog is boring (you know who you are)...whether that refers to my actual writing style or my background thingy, I do not know. I will say, that I want to change the backdrop because it's rather... "blah". I need something poppin' like netsirK's. Hmmm....

um.
um..
Um...
UM....

I don't know what else to write about...let's see...

Here are some random quotes:

Wow, I am in total amazement...the sun is shining...AGAIN!! For the past couple of days it has been sunshine and lollipops. Quite delightful. I am, however, slightly concerned that this is going to be our summer, and the actual months that are supposed to be summer will be filled with days of gloom and rain *heart palputates, eyes grow wide*

I am so jealous! My dad saw FIVE WOLVES the other day and instead of heading for the hills, they ignored him and continued to romp and play in the snow...that would be SO cool to see!! I have seen wolves before, but those were really quick viewings because they are rather shy and like to run quickly.

Ah, I hear the sound of 80's music coming from the back room...mom really cranks it.=) I don't mind some of it, but the rest is kinda...um, you know. She loves that stuff...those of you who follow netsirK's blog will know that she loves it also. He he.

In other news, I applied for a job at Petersburg Rexall Drug (the local pharmacy) and I am pretty much hired. Yay!

Alrighty folks...I guess that is all I got for now. Adios!

Essay

Well, Steph, I am going to kind of take after your evolution blog in this post.

Just yesterday, I finished my essay that I wrote on abortion. I knew that this practice was sinful, sad and sickening before, but after doing a ton of research on it, I find it even more troubling. Over 42 million unborn babies are being murdered every year worldwide...that is an outrageous amount. The reasons that people are coming up with to get abortions is equally disturbing...most of the reasons given are personal, such as a lack of time and finances, feelings of immaturity to raise a child, and killing the baby because it is a boy when a girl is wanted or vice versa What about adoption? In addition, the way that these babies are being killed is flat out disturbing. It is so sad to think of all the small beating hearts being stopped. I cannot follow the argument that "fetuses (which is just latin for 'baby') are not actually human babies...what else would they be?! They have human DNA, they have beating hearts, so it seems like the logical thing to think here is that these are in fact alive, human infants. Their blood is screaming out on the doctors' and mothers' hands. It is awful to think that this practice is allowed and even encouraged in this country.

Anyhow, I just wanted to share that blurb with the class...thanks for reading.
